I designed this promotional poster for Belugas Count!, NOAA’s annual community science event celebrating the endangered Cook Inlet beluga whale. The design was used across digital and print outreach to encourage participation at viewing stations and the Alaska Zoo festival. The illustration combines an approachable, family-friendly tone with a sense of place — showing local residents observing belugas along Alaska’s coast. I developed the composition, typography, and color palette to align with NOAA Fisheries branding while maintaining a hand-drawn, educational feel that connects with the public. This design helped raise awareness for the event and supported NOAA’s broader mission to protect Cook Inlet belugas through public engagement and conservation education.
