How to promote more employee engagement and create relationships beyond the office? That was the question posed to me by the General Manager of KIRO TV. The answer was to create a Wordpress site open to all employees, even those not on social media. The focus of the blog is promotable events which are the company or personally inspired. Employees have the ability to comment and reach out to new acquaintances they make at events. They also create their events, like pick up basketball games and ask for volunteers at their favorite charities.
